Guest guest
Hello ladies, Okay, I have waited long enough to ask this question. Now I am really stumped. I am experiencing a low libido. It is kind of like when I was under the influence of Lupron. Last fall I had three resection surgeries and am now TTc. I have no more fibroid symptoms, periods are great, no pain, no heavy bleeding, no clots. But since my hubby and i are TTC, I am becoming quite frustrated with my libido. I stopped my bc pills on January 1st, my periods have been regular, but my sex drive is not there. Is this normal? Last summer I stopped my pills for a few months, and even though I was ridden with fibroids and had terrible periods, I had a normal libido. The " zing " was stil there. Now, there's no zing. My hubby and I are not trying to get stressed about conceiving. We are taking our time and keeping busy with other things too. We want a conception to happen naturally if possible. The only thing I am doing right now is keeping track of my fertile days as well as checking my mucus. At this time I am not wanting to check my BBT and chart every day's events. But I am a little surprised with how my body is responding to our new-found sex life. Yes, it's true, we really didn't have much of one before my resections because of the chronic bleeding and the discomfort. So now that we have been told by my doctor " to get busy " I am surprised that my body is not responding as it should. I wondered if any of you could tell me if this has to do with going off of the pill after being on a high progesterone dose for many years, or could it be a side effect from all those resection surgeries? Did any of you experience this after your myos? There is no " zing " , some slight vaginal driness, and no climax. What's going on with me? My poor husband. Just when we think we can have the fun we have missed all these years, now a new monkey wrench. Akkk!!! If any of you have had similar post-op side effects, I'd love to hear what you experienced. My last surgery was on December 18th. Now I know it may be too soon for a pregnancy, but certainly not too soon for my hormones to get back to normal right? Should I ask my RE about trying testosterone cream? Thanks for your help. Your flustered and frustrated fellow fibroid-free forum friend, :)Sonja
