Guest guest
Hi everyone: I just thought I would let you know that I have joined 'the peggy group'. I got my peg tube surgery on Thursday and it went pretty well. Was home that day and have a visiting nurse twice daily to do the flushing and change the dressing. There is a bit of drainage but nothing out of the ordinary, but I have been experiencing pain spasms in my stomach on and off. Can anyone let me know how long they will last? I do not need 'peggy' for feedings as yet, but it was recommended I have it before I need it. The other question I have is I have trouble with pain in between my index and third finger on my right hand. It feels like the muscle is being stretched or something like that. My index finger quivers also and it makes it difficult at times to double click on the mouse. I e-mailed my specialist in Hamilton and asked him if it could be just arthritis but he said no, that it was from the ALS. Is it normal to experience pain with ALS? I hope someone can give me some insight into this. Thanks for your time and take care. Jo.
