Guest guest
Absolutely not crazy! It's your life, you are the only judge of how much these fibroids are affecting you. Does something make you think you " should " go on living like this? BTW, you do have symptoms! What do you think tiredness and frequent urination are? They're symptoms. And my personal feeling is -- treatment is not going to get any easier if you wait for those suckers to get any bigger. Best of luck and health! Guest guest
It is the best thing I did. I am three weeks post myo. Lightest period ever. I pee normally vs. every half hour! I would seriously consider it considering the size. My uterus was the size of a 14 week pregnancy. Turns out I had 21 fibroids! > I am seriously considering Myo, thinking that when they are out, I can have a new life.
Guest guest
Dear Lai, I don't think you're crazy at all! Those are sizeable fibroids that you have, and they're affecting your quality of life. The fact that you awaken several times at night indicates that they are having a negative impact: no wonder you're tired during the day. Let us know what you decide. Guest guest
I feel tired and need a nap every afternoon. That's probably due to the fibroids. I was told after my myo that I had low iron and I hadn't had heavy bleeding as a symptom or a transfusion. Ask the doctor about that. Feeling low can also make you feel tired. (Having fibroids is enough to make anyone feel down). There are other possible causes of the tiredness: Disturbed sleep from getting up in the night to go to the bathroom probably doesn't help. That's likely to be the fibroids pressing. It's a common fibroid symptom. < I think the fibroids give me more emotional burden...feel like life stuck> I know exactly what you mean. *One argument is that you just watch them grow bigger and then more drastic treatment may be needed. *Another argument is to not interfere and do as little as possible. Many women live with fbroids without having them treated. *Another argument is waiting it out until the menopause when hopefully they'll shrink. It's a bit of a judgement call. Are your symptoms a problem to you? Are your fibroids growing? Take into account the possibility of having fibroids again after the myo at some time in the future. Consider some of the other options if you definitely don't want children, such as UAE and others. If the idea of never having children upsets you, then keep your options open, just in case. Ask the doctors how often pedunculated fibroids twist. (Having many surgeries in the same are may possibly lead to adhesions.) I'd go back to your doctor with more questions and don't rush into any decision until you're really sure of what you want. The fibroids will wait while you're thinking it over this year. Make sure any hormonal pills etc. are suitable for fibroids. Aztek
