Lupron symptoms - Question

Question for the ones of you who have taken Lupron.

I had my first DepotLupron injection 2 weeks ago.

I know that you're supposed to stop having you period starting the

second injection, but for now, I'm having in between bleeding, almost

as heavy as my period.

Did anyone of you experienced that ?

Hi!

i've been on Lupron for 6 month. My first dose was the 3 month

injection. It took 2 months for my bleeding to completely stop.

However, almost immediately (within the same week) of my 1st Lupron

injection, my bleeding lessened considerably. Just hang in there. I

was also concerned as you are, that the bleeding didn't stop sooner.

I called my doctor after I continued to bleed after the 1st shot. He

confirmed the body takes awhile for the Lurpon to work. In my case,

it took 2 months to completely stop the bleeding.

Hang in there and soon your symptoms will be at bay and you can start

to feel better.

I have had 2 shots out of 3 of Lupron & had the first one when I had just

started my period. I bled for close to 3 weeks - very heavy & very clotty!!! I

called my doctor after 2 weeks & asked if it was normal - he said it was & that

it was just the lining shedding. It finally stopped & it's been almost 2 1/2

weeks since I stopped bleeding - what a pleasure! I had my second shot & have

yet to have a period - I'll let you know if I do get it. (I better get it - I

haven't been using birth control). My understanding is that the Lupron kicks in

around month 3. I have had no other significant symptoms - I get hot sometimes

but it may just be the heating/airconditioning in my office. No night sweats

either - knock on wood. My experience w/Lupron so far has been fine - alot of

women on this site had negative experiences but mine has been good. I will

probably have to go for an ultrasound before my May 17th myo to see if my 2-7cm

fibroids have shrunk.

I've had two shots of Lupron......last was March 18. I've been

spotting off and on everyday. But, the good news is my fibroids have

already shrunk alot. I feel so much better. Hang in there.
