Guest guest
Hi all and thanks for your well wishes that I read before I left for the hospital. I had an abdominal myomectomy about 10 days ago. Surgery was 2 1/2 hours long. They removed two tumors and some endometreosis. I was in the hospital for 4 days. The pain was considerable and the first time walking or using the bathroom was really tough. I had to have a blood transfusion the second day in the hospital. And let me say with all of that that the care I received was excellent. The OR staff was really great with me and I was scared out of my mind. they helped me out. And even though the pain was a lot to go through. I improved exponentially every day after surgery and feel really quite well right now. I am tired and I am taking it easy. Went outside today for the first time with a friend just for a short drive to not go stir crazy. So when you have the myo just think about getting through the first week. Take it one day at a time. And then you will see how far you have come in that week. You can ask me any questions here or off line, I would be happy to try to answer. I had my Myo at Brigham and Womens and my surgeon was the best. THanks again, Deb
