Guest guest
Hi, I am in the Baltimore area, and have signed up for the Meet Up. I notice that so far I am the only one in the area who has done so (at least as of my posting this), and I would like to encourage others of you who are in this Balto/DC metro area to sign up. What I have read from the women who reported back from the bi-coastal meetings on the 25th really made me wish that there was a more tangible (read, non- electronic)local community of fellow fibroid sufferers and recoverers to talk to, brainstorm with, and just plain get to know. The hardest part about my whole ordeal with the little buggers has been this at- times-overwhelming sense of loneliness. None of my friends are dealing with these, and while I do know other women who have had these tumors in the past, they are all women who are several years older than I, and who are in very different stages of their lives (already have/had kids, married, closer to menopause, etc.). So, any of you in the Baltimore/DC area care to Meet Up? Even if it doesn't happen in February, perhaps it could happen in March? This is such a wonderful, supportive commmunity here... it would be great to bring a little piece of that to a face to face conversation. -
