Guest guest
Hi Amy You are so sweet (as all the other ladies that have written to me incredibly supportive messages) - thank you sooo much for thinking of me at the time! I had friends in all corners of the world saying a prayer for me (I asked them to) on the day/time, and I do sincerely believe that they were answered, and that's one of the reasons my recovery has been so trouble-free and speedy! So I owe you a prayer too when your time comes --let me know when you have a date (maybe better to send me a private email too as I may not be checking the board as often as I was pre-op). If you do by any chance feel sick after the op because of the morphine, etc (which you should use only as much as you need to, as I think Cheryl recommended), tell the nurses. They'll probably give you an injection to stop the nausea straight away - that's what my friend (also ex-fibroidian) said happened to her. And don't worry about pain if you are -- most people experience minimal pain/discomfort as hospitals these days give you really good pain-control in the 1st 48 hours! Best of luck, Amy. If anything I hope my story will serve as inspiration to the upcoming myo-ladies. If you remember, I was a complete nervous wreck all the way up to the op., esp. as I have no partner and no family to back me up emotionally, but I did manage with the help of friends (also the support from this group made a huge difference!) and I feel great now -- physically, mentally, emotionally, and would love to help other ladies who are feeling as fragile as I was then! Lots of love, C. > I am so happy to hear from you. I constantly thought of you on the day of your myo and did the calculations in my head to figure out what time it was where you are.
