Listmates--I recently have been treating for bacteria, and my daughter

has started to put her fingers in her ears off and on throughout the

day. She seems to be hearing things differently, but does not seem to

do it for a painful reason. Loud music and sounds do not always cause

it. I think it is a sign that she is processing things differently??

She is speaking more clearly as well, so it is like she hears herself

better. Has anyone seen this before? I am thinking it is a good

sign??--Tod

My son had hearing sensitivity for two reasons --

1. When he had yeast.

2. When he was improved sufficiently that he heard sounds more

normally, which at first he interpreted as too loud.

This is very common with ASD generally. If it persists, you might want

to consider AIT (auditory integration training).
