Birthday was fine!

Magnificent Jimmy and all of you who sent your wonderful, empathetic and

cheerful greetings,

Thanks so much. It really meant a lot to have you remember this old bag.

The numbers keep going up. Yikes. But then again, looking at Anne's short

future, I must be thankful. It was a great day and I will celebrate tomorrow

with my grandchildren. I started my day with my grandsons at music class.

Then these cute little toddlers and moms sang happy birthday to me. I so

enjoyed the young ones and the music. It was truly uplifting. I believe

those grandsons are God's angels of happiness for me and our whole family.

They give me perspective and thoughts of some future. Then my husband and I

went to lunch with our son in LA and had a great Italian meal at Zucca. If

any of you are near 8th and Hill when your at House Institute, you should

treat yourself to a meal there and think of your Italian friend here. It is

the closest to real Italian food that I've had in the States. We then went

to a jewelry store where my hubby bought me a necklace that I've been wanting

for a long time. When we arrived home, Anne (in her wheelchair) and her

caregiver had gone out for lunch at the Olive Garden and shopping for a

beautiful candle arrangement and a delicious chocolate whipped cream cake.

She is so courageous despite how tired and anemic she is. Other beautiful

things happened by my friends. All in all it was a treasured day. And it

continues as I read your beautiful comments. Thanks to all of you

courageous, terrific people. You are definitely life's champions!
