Guest guest
Beans are my substitute for meat. Since I have liver disease, I have to watch how much meat I eat. (no fat in beans) I have read that kidney beans are great for cholesterol problems and I am on a quest to get mine down to a good number as well as my glucose. I dont have fatty liver disease but I am in 3rd stage of liver failure so any precautions I take...hopefully...will preserve my liver longer. Thanks for the response on the pickles. Makes very good sense! I will pass the word on to her. I dont like dill pickles so this one is just information that I can give to anyone who needs it. Thank you. I have a friend who just received her liver 2 years ago. She has fought diabetes ever since the transplant so I have been blessed! If I ever need to go thru the transplant..I know what to do to take care of the diabetes. Any suggestions on what I can eat when I am hungry enough to eat a crippled biscuit running across the highway??? Can only do my insulin 2xday. Happy New Year All!
