Guest guest
Sue, Yes, it is a private school. One of my students, a 6th grader, was diagnosed type 1 diabetes last May. She transfered in after the first quarter and it did make me more aware of my own diabetes in trying to be a good example for her. She kept wondering why I don't have to check my blood sugar, well I guess we can now check it together. Kathleen > > Kathleen, > As a retired teacher, you have my admiration and sympathy. Guest guest
You might also try a great new site that I found: paperbackswap.com. If you list some of your paperbacks you are weilling to swap. you might be able to get a copy for free if there is one on the site. Kathy R. Guest guest
> My savior for snacks is string cheese. String cheese is, I believe, mozzarella, cut into long pieces and packaged individually. I like the Sargento brand best. I buy the full fat, not " lite. " One string has less than one gr of carb. They seem to hold up well throughout the day, even without refrigeration.< My afternoon snack used to be a stick of string cheese and 10 raw almonds. I must get back to that. Thanks for the idea~! When out in the heat, they get a lil bendy, :-) But they still taste good.
