I think in general lentils have less carb than things like kidney beans. Can you eat soybeans? I think they have more fat than other beans. Guest guest
Hi Marcy, At one point I had the liver profile of a person with hepatitis. My endo felt that this was due to taking metformin for a couple of years...it just didn't agree with me. Three months after stopping it, and with the help of an herb called milk thistle, my profile was normal again. I don't know if this herb would turn you around, but it might make life a little easier in the meantime. Guest guest
I grew milk thistle in the garden one year. A very interesting plant. Unfortunately, it looks like a spotted bull thistle and I mistakenly weeded it out early the next spring. ( It is well known for its therapeutic effect on the liver. Guest guest
Why can you only do your insulin twice a day? What kind of insulin are you taking? Are you taking a fixed dose? If the answer to the last question is yes, it's NOT the optimal way to use insulin. But it's all doctors know. We know better here. Vicki Beans, Pickles and Fat! > Beans are my substitute for meat.
