Test in a couple of hours and see if you need >a snack in case your bgs have dropped and you now need something to >boost them a bit. it's really interesting how our different bodies react. my husband needs fats in his meal, to slow down the absorption of carbs; but even one slice of lo-carb bread would send him way way high. low-fat just won't work for him, no matter what- - about 30% fat in his diet keeps his BG at its lowest. interesting thing is for me, though i have IR (insulin resistance) and not diabetes, i find the same thing. when i lower my fats below 25--30%, my BG levels go either too high or too low (i seem to have reactive hypoglycemia when i exercise a lot, which i've been doing lately). tweak, tweak, tweak- - -it's hard to be patient. i started a new hill-climbing routine (just 3 blocks, but that's enough!) this week and went low in the afternoon- - i think i am going to have to eat at least 6 times a day if i am going to increase my exercise. . and i AM going to increase it. :-) all the best, kcd
