Another case of the double whammy! Hope it goes well on Jan 12. Will be

thinking of you.

I discovered my breast cancer in July 2002 a year after my diabetes was

diagnosed. As I live alone I chose to have a mastectomy and no chemo or

radiation - I knew I could not cope with a 45 minute drive each way for

treatment.

My recovery / survivorship has been uneventful.

Hi Bea,

Thanks for thinking of me on Jan. 12. I went for the pre-admission testing

today so things are getting put in place.

You are doing great! Yes, I chose mastectomy and no reconstruction too. I am

having chemo. My hospital is only 30 mins. away. I chose it because the other

one is 45 mins. like yours. It is a long haul. I agree. And, you are

apparently doing fine!

I'm very glad your recovery and survivorship have been uneventful. I hope for

the same.
