I have had that happen to me when an item seemed low in carbs yet whatever it is bottled in or marinated in causes a high BG. So not only should one look at carb amounts but ingredients for the rest of those type of things that come bottled or prepackaged. The liquid doesn't have to have carbs to cause a reaction it can be something simple like for instance I react with highs to vinegar.
