Guest guest
Today was messed up meals again. I ate a late breakfast thinking that I could get home for a late lunch, but I did take two slices of turkey breast lunch meat along for a snack. I ate my snack around 12:30 and by 3:30 I was really hungry and feeling funny, so I took my blood sugar and it was 156 (and I felt like I was really low). I came home and fixed myself a large bowl of salad (iceberg salad mix from the store) and plan to eat a real supper in a couple hours. I just need something right away and the lettuce was there and isn't too many carbs. Kathleen > > Kathleen, this is really a good start. Your bgs ranged from 171 to 193. > That's good control. Guest guest
That 156 was low for you compared to where you have been. So your bgs are coming down. You're doing a great job. Guest guest
When I first started trying to lower my blood sugar (started at 345) I would have what felt like really low lows when my glucose levels would drop by 70 points or more. And believe me the first few months that happen a lot. I would drop more than a hundred points a day from my fasting to my late afternoon meals. Made me sick as a dog at times but in time if you stay with it you will stop having a big variance in numbers. Your body gets used to being at those high levels. So dropping several points is like a low to your body. And I have been feeling the urge for a snack. I think this is a good time to go have that salad with the boiled eggs and maybe a bit of cheese. K I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it! Re: New Here/Kathleen Today was messed up meals again.
