Guest guest
I don't know if they are called Vials or Capsules, that was what I called them. The box just says " Single-Use Sterile Containers " Pete bottles or capsules? Pete I use a lubricant that is called Eyestil it comes in an individual vial.(package wrapped of five and 25 to a box) (One use only) It is preservative free. Are you sure they are called capsules? The air is very dry up here in the winter time(Calgary, Alberta,Canada) I keep a vaporizer going 24/7. Have had to start using as of last year, a Bandage Contact Lens as well, it keeps the moisture in my eyes. Without the C/L I am in pain all the time and can not see. Guest guest
My take on that is that everyone feels/needs differently. I personally don't like the individual " packets " ? like Cellusvisc, etc cause if you don't use it right away it seems to dry up? And I have trouble getting it out of the dropper the second time, which aggravates me. But I know many Crewbies use and like these. Different strokes! I use Gen Teal moderate tears during the day, and Puralube (as it is much cheaper than lacrilube.) I took someone's advice on the Crew, and got WalMart to order me ten tubes, and I think they were like $2.29 a tube! Right now, I just had cataract surgery and cannot see worth ____. I feel like the contact they put on the cornea is off--I wore contacts and I know how that feels.! ARGH. Guest guest
You know, I wonder about that Bandage Contact Lens. If we have dry eye, why don't they recommend that to us more? Guest guest
But you know, I would not even know it was a possibility, but for reading that is what you have! Personally I am struggling with getting used to a contact lens they put in during cataract surgery. Wonder if they ever do two contacts on the same eye? Guest guest
My understanding is that the bottles of eye drop contain preservative and the individual ones don't contain preservative. Some people (and I am one) have eyes that are affected by the preservative that is in bottled drops. I can use bottled drops for about a week - then my eyes get red and itchy and sore. No amount of bottled drops make then better, and can even make them worse. A few days of using the individual ones and the eyes come back to normal. I use cellivisc drops which contain about 5 drops in a container. I use the whole container lot over 1 - 2 days. I have no problem with then drying in the container. Maybe New Zealand does not have a same weather? Also Lacrilube ointment but am going to see my eye surgeon for a better alternative to lacrilube as often my eye(s) require the lacrilube for days and days at a stretch. in NZ >
