Guest guest
Dawn, Talk about putting me under the table!! I would be there with the first one. Do like smoothies but never make them at home. Do I use a blender to crush up the ice? Love cold drinks but they have to be very cold. It's a good idea when one can't eat solids. Have to keep it in mind. Luv U Laurie
Guest guest
Laurie - I'm the same way about cold drinks....want them icy cold. Some of the recipes that I make use don't even require crushed ice, just sherbet. I use one of the electric stick blenders (about $19.95)....cheaper, easier to clean, and you don't have the hassle of dragging out the blender every time. If it weren't for smoothies, I don't know what I would have eaten these past couple of months. BarbaraRoepkelaurie@... wrote: Dawn, Talk about putting me under the table!! Guest guest
Barbara, I don't want to sound dumb but what is a stick blender. Is it like the cuisanarts? I have one of those plus a blender. It's a rainy sleety day. There's a weather advisory so I was out and about at 6:00 am with Toby and getting milk. I had a bad last 2 days. Talked with neurologist about the searing pain in my thighs. It has to do with a trapped nerve. I couldn't even sit on the pot for god sake and decide this was unacceptable way to live. Now the Dr. says they can do something like surgery. I was told 15 years ago and recently that nothing could be done. Well in my mind with the mighty Mayo Clinic there has to be something. I can't even lay in bed or the recliner which is my favorite spot. Sometimes you gotta push the subject with these doc's. So now I'm on the path of who know's what medical tests. EMG, he wants to do an MRI but I hate that tube. So going to ask for sedation this time. Still wearing my heart monitor but have had no more episodes. Hand is doing better today. Thank god for Lidocaine patches. They help with the burning in my hand. Well I've said enough. Going to go through rest of Mail. Guest guest
Laurie - I hope that this picture shows up....It's a stick blender. I got mine for around $20 but I've seen them on sale for less and you can also get ones that cost a bit more. Hope they can get things worked out for you. Lorfy, I swear if we come back n another life it better be in a different body. The stick blender...good for smoothies, whipping crea, pureeing vegies fro soup, etc. Easy to clean. My advertisement and recommendation....DO I get the job? Love - BarbaraRoepkelaurie@... wrote: Barbara, I don't want to sound dumb but what is a stick blender. Is it like the cuisanarts?
