cindy, i have been using different lubricants for 25+ yrs now. all you have mentioned plus quite a few others. i currently use isopto tears, they are not as good as dura or other heavier lubes but with heavy lubes i found that the "smeary" feeling i got from those caused me to habitually rub my eye (like when you come up from being under water) and this led to more irritation and scratching then if i just stuck with the normal drops. i do use the lube at nite when i tape my eye shut. also i found that if you are not really careful and get the lube bottle into you lashes alot, the drops become contaminated very easily and will cause the redness and infection. i buy only small bottles and usually never use them all the way to the bottom.

Has anyone found DuraTears to cause redness in and around the eyes ? This

happened to Deanne over the weekend and they've switched back to CelluVisc

now.

How can you see through the celluvisc since it's so thick? I have to

use Refresh Plus in my good eye, . The blind one is fine with ointment

at night and bottle drops in the day..I tried celluvisc in my good eye

once and it was like looking through waxed paper,. Very, very blurry.

I have a question... On the shelf I've seen a new drop call Refresh

Endura. Is that just a " new " name and box for Refresh Plus?

Jennette, yes, if I put alot in at one time, it is like wax paper type

vision, but not that much is needed regularily, for me anyway. And I need it

applied regularily, maybe at least 1/2 hour apart before more applied,

but, with Refresh Plus I'm constantly needing to reapply drops. I never

noticed anything new in the eye meds when down there the past while, nd we

did check it out. I'll look again next trip. I don't apply alot of

celluvisc, unless I've dried my eye and it hurts. And then I usually end up

trying to heal it with lacrilube. I keep my drops stored in a 'wrap' after

opening and upside down in a small camera film container or small pill

bottle. I use it as needed, one or two tubes a day, usually. So far no eye

infections, touch wood.

Sheryn, that's the same " eyedrop protocol " na was using. I did not like

Celluvisc when I tried it, but I realize now I probably used too much!

Jennette, like a fool, I tried the Refresh Endura. Expensive and I hated

it. Made my eye feel really weird. (maybe it was " working " ? lol)

I don't know, I don't fool around with my eye, though, so I didn't use

it more than once. I may take it to my next eye appt. and ask about

them. You want a free sample? :)
