Guest guest
Jo Deb Ducote asked me to tell you and all of digest that she changed her email address and for some reason all of the digest messages are bouncing. Is there anyway that you could help her Jo? I have been off for few weeks also and so was not able to let you all know of her problem. Jo, unless since last couple of days things have changed, she can get mail sent directly to her just nothing, as said, of RSD Digest. Take care Jo and hope you had a very Special Christmas and New Year beginning. Hugs JoAnn s Mommajomal1@... wrote: Thanks, Barbara. It's only the first day and I'm all beat up! LOL. We didn't even make it through the day, we had a problem with my mother in law, and had to leave early. Only 61 more classroom hours to go! My cold is finally starting to go away so hopefully I can get through the next class without being sleepy from cold relief! Thanks! Guest guest
Jo - Thanks. That says it all....thanks. I'm not sure what it was in your note that helped, but it did. Like everyone else here I have my moments when it all just feels so damned hard. here are times when I feel like tossing in the ring and going with the "Fine. I'll just be disabled." The thing that always pulls me out of that dark hole is the thought that I am not disabled. I have parts of me that don't work so hot and I feel like garbage, but I, as an entire person, am not disabled. I will keeping going at this until I have nothing left to give and I will go back to work. Just sick and tired of being sick and tired. The very concept of my giving myself injections of narcotics as a means to managing my pain is simultaneously unfathomable and the most reasonable solution. Me...the person who has spent 13 years successfully avoiding pain medication...I'm actually going to go ahead a agree with a trial. If it puts me one step closer to being back at work, to get back involved in the child advocacy movement, to looking forward to social plans, then it will be worth it. It's just really hard to wrap my mind around the concept and the fact that it's entirely possible in three months' time that I will have to stop the narcotic meds because of the myositis. I think you'd find me in the attic screaming like a banshee woman at that point. Hoping that all of this works...I'll keep you posted. Barbarajomal1@... wrote: Barbara, I can hear how frustrated you are.. I know, because due to a lot of reasons, work being one of them, I had to get off all meds. Some I am allergic to and wish I could take, the others just did not work for me. I can't imagine having to try and go through that again.. BUT, I'm sure that your Drs. will finally find a way for you to get back to work. You'll find something that works for you. Thank God you have such a wonderful doc trying to get you there. I know that patience is difficult (believe me, I am the queen of impatience!).. but please, try. Hugs, Jo

Guest guest
Gonna have to do a quick mental swtich since I've moved on to the Hallmark Lady / Sunshine Girl outfit of a flowered bonnet, a frock and a smock. Now mid you, I'm doing my level best to raise the cumulative spirit level of the group.....My putting on a frock is a rare event. I haven't worn one since my mother died in 1990. I'm doing my part though ! Keep on counting down those hours, girl. You're gonna make and then we can have a big whoop-de-doooo for you complete with artificial champagne for those of us on meds. Re the snow? Keep it. Barbara (Oops. Too late. It's already snowing here.) jomal1@... wrote: Barbara,Thank you, thank you for the giggle. I am not leaving the house today though because of the weather, so I think I'll just stay in the PJ's! How much snow did you get in the city today? I was watching the news and it looks like you guys have more ice! Lucky me, we got both! Hope all is well! Dawn MOLLYPEAR1@... wrote: Jo, You are amazing. Guest guest
Stacey, Thank you... I honestly don't know where the energy comes from, most times I feel as if I could collapse, but just keep going like that dopey energizer bunny. Accomplishing anything.. even if it just means getting out of your PJs is wonderful. People don't realize sometimes just how difficult that can be! Guest guest
JoAnn, I know you've had some computer problems lately, and were busy enjoying your visit with ! I'm seeing a surgeon because of a mammo and ultrasound I had done recently. We are praying it's nothing serious. Maybe some cysts or something.. Thank you so much for caring. Guest guest
Barbara, Thanks, once again, for your caring. I had a message from the Dr. office to come in an hour later than my schedule appt. Like I need to wait another hour. To top it all off, the biopsy site has become infected, so I am one sore puppy. I'm on antiobiotics, so I suppose she'll have to change them to something that actually works! Only 4 more classroom hours to go... got that cheerleading outfit ready?? After classroom hours, we have to take a school test that counts for an additional five hours. Then, the state test. Phew, cannot wait til this is over! I'd send hugs but my boob really hurts and I don't want to get that close! LOL Jo
