Guest guest
Sue - I am curious as to whether you eat 3 meals and no snacks or if you eat more smaller meals. I have to eat 6 mini meals and am trying to determine if this drug might work for me. I am on Glipizide (sulf) right now and am probably going to be changed later this month. Just looking for some more info from someone who is taking Prandin. You can email me privately if you wish. Guest guest
Barb, I eat 3 meals plus a bedtime snack. I don't usually need any more snacks because I sleep late and it kind of shortens my day, LOL. I take Prandin before breakfast and before supper. I usually don't need to take it before lunch if I'm going to have my usual meal of a big salad and some fruit, especially if I make myself exercise in between breakfast and lunch. I don't know how Prandin would work for 6 mini meals. I don't know if you'd need to take it before each mini meal or not. One might work for two mini meals. My dose is 1 mg, but it also comes in .5 mg. If you do try it, let us know how it works for you. Guest guest
Thanks Sue - I go to the endo next week and he told me last visit he wanted me off Glipizide. So I am gathering information so I can make an informed decision when discussing different meds. I have also gathered info on different insulins and some of the newer meds. I cannot take Metformin because I already have digestive problems. So we shall see what happens. Barb in NH Sue wrote: > Barb, I eat 3 meals plus a bedtime snack.
