Drs like to see graphs & they are easier to > interpret than columns of figures.< When my endocrinologist told me to reduce my fat intake to less than 10 percent of calories (11.3gm fat) (to lose weight urgently) - I expanded my Excel sheet to record the available protein, carb, and fat in gm. Each day I could total the amounts and check if I had met the goals. It took a few days to build up a list of foods (on Sheet 2) that I regularly ate and all the nutritional values - including GI & GL etc in the same order as . Most meals I just copied the food items from the Food list into the Daily Log (Sheet 1). When my FBG and other numbers are good I don't maintain the spreadsheet, but the month before I see the endo I chart everything, It really has been a great tool for me. BTW I bought some new clothes for Christmas and friends keep remarking that I've lost alot of weight. Of course there's more to go! and then I'll need more clothes again!
