Hi Laurie,

I hope that you can do some quilting. I know how boring things can get and it's a good thing my dogs can't open the refrigerator as I do that to often on my own! LOL

If you are having a hard time holding a needle but still want to do some form of embroidery/needle work you should look into Bunka. That is what I do now as I can't keep a hold of a small needle and even the latch hook rug is to hard to handle for long periods.

I hope that everyone has a Happy New Year and to think only happy and healthy thoughts as the New Year's Eve goes into the New Year. I think there is a belief that whatever you are doing at the stroke of midnight is what you will do during the New Year.

Hi Ginny,

Well, You know I hadn't thought about sleeping at midnight maybe that's why I can't sleep.

Actually the best New Year's I have had recently was the one in the hospital for 02-03. I came out of the semi coma on New Year's Eve, I am not one to miss a holiday, and they let Greig come back to the hospital which he did even though we had a torrential rain that whole night so bad they where shutting down roads and he had over an hour's drive. Anyway, they let him stay until 2 AM and gave us ginger ale to celebrate with. I know it sounds like not a good time but I was so glad to be alive and awake and I knew how much Greig loved me from his time spent running back and forth to work and home to care for the animals and taking to me even though I wasn't awake. The nurses all knew that we where in LOVE without a doubt and where so nice to.me even spending hours trying to get the knots out of my hair with that tiny hospital supplied comb. We actually did end up cutting out a hunk that everyone kept picking up and saying that was more hair in that knot than most have on their head and I still had shoulder length hair and Greig still has that knot! So it just goes to show one doesn't have to be at a fancy dress up party or drinking to have a great New Years Eve.

And don't forget to watch the Rose Bowl Parade! It has the most equestrian breeds of any other parade and the floats are just such masterful works of art and creativity.

To all. wishing you have a great new year with a heck of alot less pain and struggle.

It's turning out to be a regular day. I'm waiting for my aide to come and shower. Thinking I want to try and quilt some today. See if the hand can handle some. I'm bored to tears. Going to take Toby for a walk. Did teach him to open the fridge door. Now just have to repeat alot till it's a normal thing for him to do. Had steak dinner with my man friend last nite. and watched scary movie. I'm not one for scary movie's and he came up behind me and scared the livin sh** out of me.

Hand is a little better today.I made the dressing tighter so it wasn't rubbing on the sutures. I think that triggered alot of the pain issue. Made appt. with doc for tues. Maybe a block is in order? Had the heart monitor on for the last 24 hours. Don't think anything will show up. I had V tach durning surgery. Barb you got any info on that subject? Dawn it was nice talking with you this am. Did the bed help any? I find with my hard bed I wake up hurting more than ever. Tonia, please seek help. this is the time of year that you have alot of trouble. and your kids would have to live with the memory of something you did that could have been treatable. I know it's difficult. E-mail me. I've been there.

Here's a new years wish that all of you seeking SSDI and w.c will get it soon. It will happen with enough time and patience. I found from experience. It's the waiting that gets you.

With luv and here's to less pain and struggle in our live's.

Laurie - Nope, no info on V tach....Sorry I can't help you out with that one. It might be something that you'd want to tell the anesthesiologist if you ever have surgery again. Have a Happy. BarbaraRoepkelaurie@... wrote:

Felice,

My sister Kellie Equestrian rides in Colorado and loves it. Since she has been in the hospital with Vertigo she has not been able to ride and misses it terribly. The women that runs the horse ranch calls Kellie all the time to see how she is doing, and for Christmas my Mom found the Equestrian Rider and the Horse in the Madam doll collection! She actually cried when she got that gift, she loved it so much! Well I slept for 5 hours this afternoon and think I will be sleeping again real soon. I am exhausted from not getting enough sleep the last three days and need it so bad. Take Care and Have a Great Happy and Healthy New Years!!!!! LOL and Best Wishes Always!!!!!!

Felice...That actually sounds like a very good way to bring in the New Year except for the hospital part. I am already in my pj's and we just finished eating chinese food. I made virgin pina coladas for everyone. I am going to sit down watch a couple of movies and probably be in bed before midnight unless ie doesn't fall aleep before midnight because I promised he could have some sparkling apple cider at midnight for a toast if he is up. My neighbor gave a nice bottle of champagne as an apology for something his child did this evening..but I told him since I can't drink keep it and toast the New Year with it. Donna and I had an interesting conflict with 3 teenage boys throwing snowballs at cars earlier and am glad it is over with and I could relax and enjoy the evening anyways. I haven't seen the Rose Bowl Parade in a few years...I will definetly watch it this year....Hope you have a Romantic New Years eve again this year...and many years

to come...I know you 2 plan to wed soon...and hope this Year is one of your best...Hugs..Ginnyfelicet867@... wrote:
