I would second this, because this is really the info that will be up and

coming for many of us. Sheryn, you had gamma knife; Do I remember Tex did?

And of course Donna and Lee, altho they may be a little busy right now~!

And did anyone besides have the Cyberknife (Ihope that is the right

term) Marie

Hi, Im and am new to the crew, I read the post about

people being treated with radiation. I seen there was a database

questionare

or something of the sort to fill out, Im new to all this but with a

little help

I would like to fill out one of these form's if it may help. I had gamma

knife

in 5/01 on my debulked tumor and 13 month's later it came back to be

discovered

on the mri as twice the original size it was before the treatment. I have

since

had the radiated tumor removed with alot of side effect's from the surgery

eye problem's,vocal cord, facial paralysis.

Marie, I'm sorry, no, I had FRS. Very little was known about gamma here

then, if anything at all. There was no mention of gamma as an option to me.

I stayed in Saskatchewan and had the ONLY method of radiation available at

the time. I can't complain though. Of the three tumors radiated at the same

treatment, the left AN started a big spurt 9 years later. The Brainsten

Tumor is now 2.5 cm, so 1 cm larger and the right AN has grown 0.2 cm from

0.4 to 0.6 cm since Mar-mid april '89. (yes, there is a 'point' following

the zero)

Have you filled out the Database questionnaire? It is very simple and the

more people who give input, the more worthwhile it will be to all of us?

My husband had the cyberknife at Stanford in 11/00.

My husband had Gamma Knife 6 months ago. he had an MRI 2 weeks ago and the tumor treated with Gamma Knife is already showing some slight shrinkage. Halleluyah!

Oh Marie, I think you've done well to remember I had radiation at all. I

have trouble keeping it straight where everyone lives, let alone all the

different health treatments each received. I love Joyce's crew map!, it

helps alot.

Well it is rather cool, but I am leaving for Wy. for a week to see another

son, so it may not be cool when I get back. I am disappointed the cruise

fell through, the fact that I may have to stay home all summer is

disgusting!! LOL Marie
