Guest guest
// Cabbage gets stinky if you overcook it, or cook it on too high a temperature (releases sulphur compounds).// My husband and I like this dish alot: " Mexican " microwave cabbage// Hi , Thanks for posting this recipe. It sounds really good-I absolutely LOVE cumin, it's my favourite seasoning, and it's even better when combined with lemon. I haven't eaten any cabbage for a long time, I guess I just sort of forgot about it and how good it can taste, and this recipe made me feel like going to get some and start eating it again lol. About cabbage being stinky: it may smell bad at times, but it usually doesn't taste the way it smells. Tahnks again, Caroline
Guest guest
Overcooking it makes it smell more. Just steam it lightly, leave it still a bit crunchy if you like, and give it a try. You may be surprised. Or make cole slaw!
