Re: glucose injection before MRI?

I have to have a brain MRI and instead of iodine for a contrast they are

using a glucose type solution. Anyone heard of this before? I asked

the dr and radiology about the affect on blood sugar levels and they

assured me it does nothing. I am on 15 units Lantus only.

Gosh, if this is going to go through your bloodstream I don't see how it

can " no nothing " to your BG's.
