Guest guest
Does this sound right for a 40 LB 5/12 year old boy The chelating schedule and doses are 20 mg of DMSA and 20 mg of ALA every 3-4 hours apart at least 18 doses from Friday to Sunday Night. Supplements and schedule Zinc 15 mg 2 times a day (30 mg Daily) Magnesium 400 mg 2 times a day (800 mg Daily) adjust this down if he has diarrhea. Vitamin C 600 mg 4 times a day (2,400 mg Daily) Vitamin B complex 12.5 - 25 mg 4 times a day (80 mg daily plus or minus) Vitamin A 12,500 IU 2 times a day (25,000 IU Daily) Vitamin E 500 IU per day or a couple of times a week (Not as critical) Selenium 40 mcg Daily Milk Thistle 20-80 mg daily also should zinc be given daily during chelation cycle will DMSA bind and remove it during the cycle? Also concerned about high doses of vitamin A, can be toxic. This will start next week once all the supps arrive Thanks for caring --------Bill H. s DAD --------------------------------------------------------------------------------\ ------- This email contains confidential, privileged information intended only for the addressee. Is this B complex ALL as mg, or are there some mcg in there? > Vitamin A 12,500 IU 2 times a day (25,000 IU Daily) Watch for toxicity rash. What form of vitamin A? > also should zinc be given daily during chelation cycle will DMSA bind and > remove it during the cycle? I gave it every day and did not notice problems. Guest guest
We are starting the supplements slowly first with zinc and selenium 2 times a day and watching for reactions. then Vit C and E and we will wait again for 2-3 days for reactions until we are giving all the supps currently he is just getting zinc and selenium and a multivitamin which will be replaced with new supplements. Vitamin A is from Nordic Naturals Cod Liver oil capsules 1 capsules 2 times a day. He has been getting Cod liver oil since July of 2003. He also has been getting ProDHA 3 capsules 2 times a day since April of 2003 When we started him on the proDHA he started giving us great eye contact and still does. The B complex is from Kirkman Labs (see below) Kirkman's B-Complex With CoEnzymes Pro-Support Capsules Vitamin B1 30 mg Riboflavin (Phosphate) 30 mg Niacinamide 20 mg P5P 35 mg Folic Acid 200 mcg Vitamin B12 125 mcg Biotin 300 mcg Pantothenic Acid 10 mg Choline (Citrate) 150 mg At 02:59 PM 3/2/2004, you wrote: > > > > > Does this sound right for a 40 LB 5/12 year old boy > > >Did you start one at a time, low dose, and work up? Guest guest
> P5P > 35 mg This can be high, especially if your child has problems processing phenols http://www.danasview.net/phenol.htm > Vitamin B12 > 125 mcg B12 is an interesting one. Some kids needs LOTS more than this. Others can't handle even this much. It can cause much more than " simply hyper " , which is the typical reaction of the B6/P5P above. Watch for problems, or on the other hand, you might even want to increase it. > Biotin > 300 mcg Be sure to give this with magnesium, it tends to deplete magnesium and can lead to leg cramps etc. Dana
