It works the same way, that is, prods the pancreas to secrete insulin. Glyburide works continuously even after your meal has long since digested and you don't need it anymore. Therefore, it can cause lows. Prandin, on the other hand, works for a few hours and then stops. I have had only one low on it, and that was when I took it and then went shopping before I ate.
