I’m a snow lover, but this is getting ridiculous. :OP Actually, I’ve discovered that we get these wicked snow days whenever I have a chiropractor appt scheduled. I have now, yet again, canceled my appointment. All those in the tri-state area be warned, I’ve rescheduled for Friday! Alyson, I would be more than happy to share some of the beautiful 60 degree sunshine with you for a nominal fee. I think that we could come to some type of an agreement. Let’s just say that if you sent me something like, oh I don’t know…maybe cheesecake, and I could ship you off some of this beautiful weather. Am I dead meat yet???? Guest guest Posted March 8, 2005 Report Share Posted March 8, 2005 We are getting hit bad by this storm...60 mile per hr gusts...lightening and freezing rain..sleet and snow mix. The winds are a constant 40 mph trees and electric wires and telephone wires are going down all over here. So if I am not online for a few days or if someoe tries calling me and the phone is down you will know why. Tomorrow it is supposed to be -15 in the morning and only get into the single digits as a high. This weather is killing me physically...have had a migraine for 2 days and in a flare up with the arthritis...thankfully the RSD is not flaring up also. Never mind the personal stress that I have been going through. Barbara....I am sorry that you can not go back to work...but I am glad your dr was honest with you. Maybe this is a mixed blessing...at least you can be there for Elsie full time when she needs you. You couldn't have been there as much if you were working full time...it would have worn you out so much you might not have been able to be there at all for her which i know you would have never wanted that. Volunteer work in your field is always needed...keep that in mind. There are lots of senior citizens that need to just have companioship and need someone to talk to. There are also tons of latchkey children that need some adult supervision and someone to talk to. Never mind all of the clinics that try to give families conseling for free or low fee. You will always be needed by your friends..family..us..and people you haven't even met yet for your insight and compassion. Please grieve your loss and move on...but remember it is important to grieve.
