Guest guest
Some very good news here! We're in the middle of round 13, and did some food challenges...hooray, n has had grapes and wheat bread several times with no reaction at all. Still using Houston enzymes, of course. I was just reading in my December journal about the weeks before stating chelation, and every day was meltdown after meltdown, with so much crying and whining and hitting. He was becoming intolerant to more and more foods -- getting red ears after eating a plain hamburger, for example. Things are so much better now. He's even got his sense of smell back! Guest guest
Sounds great! How many weeks postop are you? My PT yesterday was so, so. I had not seen my therapist for over a week, as she was on vacation. The other therapists that I saw were different, and didn't measure my ROM. So when my therapist measured, I told her how worried I was. I don't know which is " active " or " passive " ROM. One where I am doing it on my own, and one where the therapist is helping push back farther, usually with some noticable pain. Mine is 84 on my own and 90 with assistance. Therapist so wants me to break that 90 mark, but how. I can only do so much. Guest guest
Hi Judith, Well from some recent posts I think it might be harder on us knee people who seem to get hung up on numbers although I don't really know how common that really is. For me I never asked what my numbers were, just went by how I was feeling in relation to the week before, but we are a goal driven society so I understand the thinking. The only time I knew any numbers was at my last app't with my os. Jeff ________________________________ From: " jarcher107@... Guest guest
Kim, You just need to keep working on it and not get discouraged. I hope you are now not keeping your knee straight most of the time as you said you were before. Guest guest
Hi Dot, Sounds like you are doing great. I don't have an answer to your question but just keep working and you'll be fine. Guest guest
Hi Kim, I do not like measuring either. All we can do is work on it hard as I do not want a adjustment. So like you said it takes up a lot of time and the pain pills give me nightmares but with out them I could not do the work.At therapy did they put a ball under your leg and have you move your knee back and forth? This I think is helping me.My surgery was May 27 . Dot A curve that can set a lot of things straight is a smile. " ~~ Anonymous
Guest guest
Sitting on the edge of bed with legs hanging. Painful. I do have leg straight when heat or ice on it.
