Guest guest
Sandy I have muscle spasms and tremors in my arm. I'm on Baclofenand Valium for it. Hi all,I do not post often, because I have RSD in both of mmy arms and it is painful to type, etc. But I do have a question for the group. Lately I have been having very frequent and painful muscle spasms in both of my upper arms, especially if I move too fast. It is worse in my originating arm. I cannot lay flat, or do anything weight bearing with my arms without experiencing the spasms. Anyone else experience this or have any suggestions on any ways to ease the pain? I have an appointment with my Dr on Friday. Thanks for any help.Sandy

Guest guest
Sandy I have not been on for 3 days so way behind and this might be idea already told to you, but I started with Fibro and a main symptom is muscle spams as tendons, ligaments, muscles knot and even get tears in them so alot of inflamation also. I do not know of anyone having fibro only in upper arms but you might ask. I am really sorry you are having such pain laying down. What are you doing when go to bed? Would really like to know as I hurt in shoulders and neck and perhaps you have a good idea that I might try for my shoulders etc. Please take care and feel free to write me direct if you prefer writing one on one. Take care and let us know what the doctor says. Guest guest
Joann, I'm not sleeping well at all. I have been sleeping in the recliner the last three weeks since this has flared up. I am exhausted and miserable. I was originally scheduled to see my Dr on March 16 for a check-up, but I can't wait that long. My husband called this morning to see if he could see me this week. My Dr. has me on antidepressants for nerve pain relief; impramine (50 mg) @ bedtime, and topamax (200mg) for migraine pain relief. I also take 40 mg of Lexapro (antidepressant), and 4 mg of Klonipin (anti-axiety) per day. That's about it. I'm on coumadin and have had gastric bypass surgery so my medication options are limited. I also take Bextra (until they take it off of the market!) for headches. The pain from my right arm almost always gives me migraines or headaches. Guest guest
Thanks Debbie. No I don't take diuretics. But I will ask him about potassium levels since I had gastric bybass last year. My nutritional levels could be out of whack. Thanks for the med suggestions too. Sandy
