A very specific individual posting anonymously using a yahoo.com email address/name. Whenever a new member begins bashing a doc and clearly not doing so with so much as a single FIRST PERSON story or experience to share, they are politely redirected in the guidelines that rule this group. Also, in an attempt to do a bit of due diligence in verifying that any given individual is not shill with an agenda, I generally ask them for more information about WHO they are and ask them to reply in complete confidentiality to me offline. The individual currently engaged in a bit of doctor (and me!) bashing refused to reply to single email I sent to her with queries over her multitude of doctor bashing posts she attempted to post about Dr. West. MULTITUDE. As in more than a dozen. From someone who has never even met the man and knows nothing about his practice. This, I think, could constitute a legal liability if it were to allow to stand in the archived email for this group. Therefore, it was indeed sent back to her with polite suggestions on compliance with the group's policies. She refused to comply AND refused to even respond to a single one of my emails to her. After 2 weeks of this, I suggested that if she found herself unable to comply with the guidelines set down for this group, perhaps she might be better served with another support group. I will double-check her latest postings to see if they are actionable and go from there. However, there is no single support group that could possibly serve 100% of the female population and we cannot be all things to all women. Anyone posting nothing but bashing and who can't even seem to share whatever fibroid situation she purportedly has at all or even remotely seem to be truly seeking support or help is simply someone I'm not certain that NUFF could even begin to help. I wish her well and hope she finds what she's looking for -- but can't help but truly wonder of her online motives.
