- this lab is great for diganosing chronic

intestinal infections and yeast overgrowth. I had a

stool sample tested there late last year and found

infections which were treated with antibiotics. I

also had yeast overgrowth which I treat with

probiotics and diet, and my intestinal problems which

I had had for years have virtually disappeared. By

the way, the stool sample done by Kline showed

" normal " .

Good luck - Jennie

They are at http://www.gsdl.com/ call and ask for a list of Dr.s or

Chiropractors in your area who know how to interpret the data from

the tests. They'll send you a list of names.

Hi ,

Great smokies requires a Dr. signature only so if you know a D.O.

or Chiropractor or N.D they can sign for the tests also. Otherwise

DLS - Direct Lab Services offers some tests without a Dr. signature

as they have a Dr. on staff that signs for them. I don't think they

offer the better Candida testing but you can call and find out - all

their tests are not posted on their web site. They use the same lab

facilities for testing that most of the others use.

Generally (with a few minor exceptions) labs have to have

a practitioner's signature to do tests, they CANNOT do

them for you without this.

There is a company called Direct Lab Services that acts

as an intermediary and can order some tests for you, however

they stopped ordering GSDL tests a couple of years ago.

good wishes,

I had the intestinal permeability test done there and it was normal. People

have often said the same thing about Hemex labs, but I have seen many people's

test results from them that were negative for hypercoagulation. And when I am

on heparin my results are in the normal range instead of very abnormal. I think

you just have to remember that we are all sick with something that affects our

whole bodies, so probably we are likely to have a lot of things wrong now that

we know the right tests to have done.

And you may be right that nobody has a perfect gut especially considering most

diets and the inattention to the gut in our society in general..

I have read several posts from people which have been tested by GS,

and I wonder if it's it just me (I'm sure someone will say it is) or

does it seem that GS finds SOMETHING wrong with everyone. Has ANYONE

ever gotten a test result back from GS that said 'everything is OK'?

This is a very expensive lab and I wonder if getting tested by them

would be worth. Who has perfect gut flora? Who digests all of their

protein? I bet if Pete Sampras had test done at GS, they would find

something out of normal range. Plus, I have never heard of anyone

getting a GS test, implementing treatment, and having substantial

recovery.
