Guest guest
, It may very well be an aggravated "trigger point" which is a symptom of fibro.. I have that in my back as well. There is one spot that is horrible... sometimes it feels as if I am being stabbed in the back. From what my Dr. tells me, it is a "hyperactive bundle of nerves buried deep within the muscle". Heat does help some. I've tried trigger point injections, which initially helped. Please don't assume RSD, have it checked out by your Dr. It could be so many things.. Guest guest
don't know if you have been dx with fibromyalgia or even checked for it...but I do get that pain from my fibro. I have my trigger points injected with lidocaine/cortisone shots every 6 months and they help the pain alot. I am not sure if this is what you are having but the muscle spasms sound like that's what it could be. Hope it's not but just a suggestion to look into it...Hugs..Ginny Ginny, I think you and Jo are right. Yes, I was diagnosed with fibro a couple years ago. Actually I had it a lot longer because I was told that TMJ is actually fibromyalgia, and I it's been several years since that started up. I will consider the injections if it gets any worse. It was really hurting this morning. Love, N.__________________________________________________
Guest guest
If its anything like I have in my shoulder and neck than yes it probably is...which stinks I've been having increasing issues with my left knee..the muscle behind my knee is swollen a majority of the time making it hard to bend...I have an appt with my primary wednesday to see what he thinks. Gads, I just love this thing LOL Hugs Donna > Have a question for you all. I've had pain in my left back/shoulder for at least 3 weeks now. It's not constant but noticeable each day. Since it has been going on so long, am wondering if it would be RSD related, or something else I must be going through? It was really bothering me this morning. I've had to put a microwaveable heating pad on it. Sometimes it feels like it is spasming. Just want to know what you think.

I also get pain in my hands when I write too much or cake decorating. I don't think I had swelling though. It's been in my knee other times as well. Guest guest
The pain and swelling in my knee comes and goes; today it hasnt been too bad but if Im up walking on it alot then it swells to the point where I cant bend it at all. It has really been a problem bending at the knees lately and that never goes away... I dont know if its fibro (which I've never been diagnosed with) or what it is..but it can go away now please LOL!
