Guest guest
Hi Dawn I can imagine how angry, confused and upset you must have been to receive that letter in the mail..and having them respond to you in such a carefree manner cant make you feel any better. I dont blame you for re-checking on Jan 2. I have received so many formal letters in the mail stating conflicting information that by now I make all the phonecalls before I totally lose it. In fact I have been receiving this bill from my pain clinic that totals over $7,000.00 and each time I call the billing office she tells me to toss it, its a billing screwup on their end. In any case, Im glad that it appears to be all set and that you dont have to let that weigh on your mind during the holidays. I am sorry to hear however that one of your sisters gift boxes seems to be amoung the missing and it most likely holds very expensive items. I hope that it turns up. One more stressor hopefully resolved. Have a great day Dawn! Hugs Donna
Guest guest
Hi Dawn,Glad you got your insurance straightened out. It can be so scary and frustrating. I know that sick feeling. For some reason the hospital and a couple of doctors started sending my bills tot he wrong insurance company and of course billing me when they got denials. It took a couple of phone calls but is straightened out for now. I am sure it will rear it's head again due to someone's inattentiveness, if that is a word. I hope everyone has a good holiday and don't overdue, at least not by too much! LOL I have done so already and can't walk. I am not even sure what doctor to call at this point. The foot is so swollen and then to make things even better I lost an earring until I stepped on it, of course with that foot, and it went up puncturing the bottom of my foot. I didn't think it would hurt so much but the bottom is still swollen and tender and I did this on Monday! Santa came early at my house bringing me a mule and a Jack puppy. I don't think I am up to house breaking but he is sooo cute. I will send pictures eventually. Just hope the cats forgive the intrusion soon and stop glaring at me! Happy Holidays to all!Felice
Guest guest
Felice, Thanks so much for showing your concern. Be careful with your foot, because years ago I did the same thing and the foot got infected and had to have an injection and go on antibiotics! So please be careful with that. I am going to take Barbara's advice and call the insurance company tomorrow about sending me a letter that says I have insurance for 2005! At least then I will have proof of insurance in case they mess up with my pharmacy like they did last year! What a mess that was! You recieved the best Christmas presents ever!!! Jack Russels are very high strung, so you have your work cut out for you! They are so cute though and can do so much when they are trained. They are suppose to be one of the smarter breeds and do very well at dog shows! Do you have other mules or is this the first? I heard that they also make for great pets and I admire you for taking care of such animals! I wish I had the money, because I would own a farm full of everything!!! I would love to have a pet cow! I would name her Clara Bell! I know I am nuts, but nothing like having a dream!!!!!!! Well take care and hope that your pain is at a minimum! LOL and Best Wishes Always! Need to go and take some meds and have some dinner! Dawn felicet867@... wrote: Hi Dawn,Glad you got your insurance straightened out. It can be so scary and frustrating. I know that sick feeling. Guest guest
Hi Dawn, I already have a miniature mule whom I would like to drive eventually. I figure that someday I won't be able to ride anymore and then I will take up driving so I will still be involved with horses or mules. I like mules because they are very smart and need persuading not orders when asking them to do something. As for the puppy, he is very smart but not nearly as housebroken as they said! I really am not up for this but don't really have a choice! I am hoping the other dogs will teach him real quick! LOL Felice
Guest guest
Felice, Was telling Mom about the puppy and Mule today and she was so excited to hear that you have Mules! You see my mother is a huge animal activist and has heard horror stories in the past about the treatment of mules as abused for working animals! She actually gave money to reserve for mules! She asked me to ask if sometime you would be willing to send me some pictures, because she would love to see them and would also like to know what you have named them and the puppy! She also asked about the dog that you had that was killed by the pit bulls! Did you ever find out whose dogs they were and what happened to them and there owners! My stomach turned when I read that and just cannot believe how animals like that can run loose and hurt and mutilate others! I often think of the women in the city who was killed by two dogs leaving her apartment! It makes me so sick that people do not take the proper care and precautions when having animals!!!! My animals are treated like children but also are disciplined correctly, not abused when they do something wrong. Trust me when I tell you, that my voice and my look tells them they should not do that and they know! A week ago when Holly was groomed she went on my couch, because I think it felt good on her skin. When I saw her, we both looked at each other and without a word out of my mouth she slowly got off and has not been there since! They are so smart that I am amazed some times! My sister has an 11 year old Golden Retriever named Tailgate. On Christmas you can put all the presents under the tree and leave him in the room for ten minutes and he will very gently find all his gifts and bring them upstairs to his bed! Last year while on the phone with Kellie, she had just recieved the gifts that I sent her, and Taily was walking past her with my gift in his mouth! He is so funny and so incredibly smart! She is thinking about adopting another puppy after Christmas, because her vet told her it is getting to that time and does not want her to be without when something happens to him! I know how hard it was for me when I had to put Dorothy down this year and so glad that I adopted Holly and get to spend Christmas with her! I spoiled her wrotten and think she is getting about ten stuffed toys from the family! I bought her a talking bunny, cow, scooby doo doll, and a velcroe monkey that I can put around her neck! Grandma and Aunt Kellie bought her lots of toys to! Emma the kitty was also extremely spoiled and she is going to have a kitty nap Christmas, which means she is going to go nuts and run everywhere! Well another novel to my list and still have to finish the lasagne! Take Care and Have a Great Holiday and a Merry Christmas! I am so glad that you are posting once again and I am enjoying very much talking to you! LOL and Best Wishes Always! Guest guest
>Dawn The story about your sister's dog is so cute! My daughter absolutely loves golden retrievers!! My family had our own Christmas " Yule " celebration last night including dinner, ritual and present opening...my black cat found the wrapping paper too much fun, so she wrapped herself in the paper and crawled inside a big present bag...shes so cute even if she is a little demon. LOL Tomorrow night we will celebrate Christmas with the family and celebrate Christmas day feasting and more gift giving and receiving. I want to wish each and everyone a happy, safe and less painful holiday! Love Donna
Guest guest
Donna, Tailgate is so funny and what a cute dog! I have only seen him once and that was when he was a puppy and went swimming in my Mom and Dads pool with my Dad holding him and teaching him how to swim like a child! He loves the water!!! They have a private lake where they live and it is for all pets to go swimming. In the summer all the neighbors get together and bring there pets there. Kellie is always afraid that Tailey is going to drown, because he does not like to get out!!! Once she actually went in after him, because he looked so exhausted!!! Kellie is not a cat person and sent a present to Emma from Tailgate that says on the package to Emma Dogs Rule Tailey!! Then my Mom wrote on Em's package To Evil Emma! My poor kitty, no wonder she has a complex. I will be sending her to a pet shrink soon enough if this keeps up! I do think the pets have more gifts this year than the people though! It should make for a great Christmas! I am going to give each one a Christmas gift tonight! I will see if my sister can send me a picture of Tailey so your daughter can see him! He is so huge! One of the biggest Goldens I have ever seen! Well I hope you have a great night tonight and please enjoy with your family! I cannot wait to hear what Santa brought you! Well couple more things to do, so I need to get off this computer for now! LOL and Best Wishes Always!!!!! Dawn Donna wrote: >DawnThe story about your sister's dog is so cute! Guest guest
> Dawn Tailgate sounds awesome...I love dogs but since we own our home having a large dog would cost so much more in insurance for the " just in case " incidents like dog bites and such. My inlaws live downstairs and we got them a Boston Terrier who is nothing but a ball of energy who goes nonstop ALL day...his 1st birthday is tomorrow (12/25) and he is still all puppy! We had our Christmas this evening and left the big family stocking until tomorrow morning..other than that all the gifts were opened last night and we exchanged our gifts on Yule (winter solstice). Santa was very good to me with lots of pampering gifts and of course about 25.00 in Dunkin Donuts gift cards mmmmmmmmmmm LOL. As well as a gift card to the mall so I can buy something for myself that may not have been received from my " list " hehehe. My daughter got a temporary tattoo set from her aunt and uncle..its pretty cool actually and it runs on co2 cartridges. She got just about everything on her list too Our cats and of course the hamster will get their gifts tomorrow..I got them each a kitty stocking filled with goodies and the hamster got treats...of course lets not forget about Lex the snake who got 2 feeder mice for a gift LOL! Dawn, I hope that you and your family and your " kids " enjoy Christmas and get all the goodies that they want and that you get all the stuff that you want as well! I have a feeling from the way you talk about your mom that you wont have any disappointment Well, Im going to finish checking posts and crash for the night...sleep well and have a wonderful holiday! That goes for everyone of course!! Love and Hugs Donna
