Guest guest
Increase iron and zinc supplements. Also consider yeast. Just solved this problem with my 4.5 year old son with autism. > In a message dated 6/15/2004 12:11:27 PM Central Daylight Time, > sbridges@m... writes: > > > > Is there some type of mineral/vit she is missing? Guest guest
My daughter gets 40 mg daily of Zinc (as Zinc Alpha Keto Glutrate) and was within the normal range for zinc in her lab work, but I looked at her vitamin supplement (D-Plex) and it doesn't contain iron...I never noticed that. I am wondering if the makers of D-Plex did that on purpose. Does iron interfere or increase the absorption of anything? Thanks for your help Vickismom > > In a message dated 6/15/2004 12:11:27 PM Central Daylight Time, > > sbridges@m... writes: > > > > > > > Is there some type of mineral/vit she is missing? Just solved this problem with my 4.5 year old son with autism.<<< Is there a good tasting iron supp for kids? Is there something you can get at a compounding pharmacy that could be flavored? My son's blood test shows low iron, and we have this problem, too. He has gotten zinc for 5 years, and yeast isn't it for mine either. This is the first time I've heard about the iron. I think you might have nailed it for us. Thanks, nne

I would try increasing the Peptizyde again, it sounds like she might need the full dose to fully address the food issues. > Is there some type of mineral/vit she is missing? Some kids stop this behavior with zinc. Dana
