Guest guest
My amalgams were replaced with composites. Now I am looking for a dentist to help with an alternative to the root canals I wish I'd never had and replacements for my two crowns. What kind of a dentist should I be looking for? We are across the Bay from San Francisco... Suggestions? Thank you, [ ] Dental question-mercury free or metal free Hi, I was talking to a dentist about taking out all of my almagan fillings. He asked me I want to be mercury free or metal free. I believe to be metal free is much more expensive since I will need new crown and bridge. The dentist want me to be metal free. Should I listen to him or he just tries to make more money out of me? Please advise. Thanks. momfor2
Guest guest
Endodontist. I found one in Sacramento when I lived there who used biocalex (significantly more biocompatible than gutta percha) and at my request forwent the post since all posts (stainless steel or titanium) at the time contained nickel. She also used acupuncture and gave me samples of everything she planned to use so I could have the NAET practitioner test it all. Someone was working on a natural fiber " post " but I haven't heard any more about it. S My amalgams were replaced with composites. Guest guest
I would go with metal-free fillings, but first I would ask the dentist to provide a list of what's in each kind of filling... Guest guest
: Thank you. My dentist wants me to redo my crown and bridge to be metal free. If I choose to be mercury free, I do not need to redo my crown and bridge. Guest guest
Seems like it might make sense to take care of the fillings first and decide from there whether to do anything with the crown and bridge. Is the crown stainless steel or gold? The bridge is probably stainless steel. S
: Thank you. My dentist wants me to redo my crown and bridge
to be metal free.
