Guest guest Posted December 15, 2006 Report Share Posted December 15, 2006 I finally received my approval for surgery YAH!! It will be sometime in January if all goes well. It would have been this month had my surgeon not had surgery himself. Dont know what he had it for but he did. I have been going through this since April 25th when I had my info meeting. I was so afraid my insurance would deny it but they didnt!! I am so excited and cant wait to start but scared at the same time. The dr's told me to shoot for 130lbs but **I'LL** be happy at 150 or actually above that but that's MY goal for myself. I was 190 when I got married 19 yrs ago so ive always been heavy. Any tips on what I should be doing now? What to take with me when I have surgery? It will be about 4 hrs from my home so I will have a 4hr drive back home after surgery UGH. It will be open RNY bypass. Im actually hoping that it's after the 1st week in Jan as my son's birthday is jan 6th and we have a party planned for him at mcdonald's playland. Ill miss it if they give me a date before hand but I reallly dont wanna miss his b-day. Gastric By-Pass Surgery tenative for January!!! Watch for the changes to start!!
