Guest guest
Well TECHNICALLY we started talking about going out in November and didn't TECHNICALLY go out until Dec 2 and then again on Dec 16. Those were the only two times we went out alone. Otherwise it was all family or kid events. Personally I still think those count if there's some sort of score that's being kept. It all seems rather abritrary to me. We never had an agreement that we were dating exclusively. It was never even brought up. We were spending a LOT of time together I suppose even though it was not alone. But then I do that with friends so I'm not really sure how that's a problem. I guess maybe she was searching and hoping for more and I wasn't delivering or vice versa or something. Again, I wasn't all into it and maybe THAT was what happened or didn't happen. If it sounds like I didn't know what I wanted then I think you've figured me out. I'm not real hot on dating a lot or even a little. I think if it happens it happens. Period. I'm certainly not searching for my soul mate or crap like that (apologies for those who like that term). Being friends with her was very enjoyable decades ago and could/should be now too. She's a great gal. I suppose if I envisioned a long term more involved relationship it would have ideally started with some sort of friendship level maybe. Again, not sure I suppose. On the bright side I am now free, I feel, to tactfully ask an old mutual friend whom we visited at a school play she directed to give my number to a woman that wound up in a picture I took of the old mutual friend that night. Gotta get back on that bicycle ya know. Guest guest
I don't envy you! I couldn't imagine throwing dating into the mix after WLS. Guest guest
I am not quite ready for dating either. I'm not afraid of it but I've just started losing the weight and I want to get some weight off before I put myself out there (not for other people but I want to feel more self confident). I guess I'm not afraid of dating because my dating experiences mostly all grew out of friendship or proximity (school or work) so they just kind of happened. I've never been in a position where I was actually trying to find someone to date. That will be scary and I don't know how I'll meet anyone. I'm also pretty casual in my ideas of dating. Dinner, movies, walks, listening to music, etc. are my only experiences. I guess maybe I've just never dated anyone that was any more creative than I am. I also haven't really dated in over 10 years so I guess when you're in your early 20's that's pretty much what dating is. I don't know what to expect from a date with a guy in his mid to late 30s except for what Mike in GR posts (keep it up Mike). I'm pretty independent so I don't feel like I need a man. However, it would be nice to be around someone that I feel comfortable with just for the companionship. I am so tired of being a hermit/couch potato. in MI > > > > > > > > > > My female older cousin told me about this tonight. > > > > > > > > > > http://tinyurl.com/ym6g6l > > > > > > > > > > " Losing weight then tends to increase your sex drive, he > says. > > > And, > > > > > losing weight improves the sex lives of men in another > > way.
