HI ,

" This " means chelation from my understanding of talking to my

Occupational therapist. I'm not sure if she is referring to taking

things orally or through IV to chelate but that was my understanding.

An electronic post today from Dr.McCandless leads me to think that a

possible change in the DAN protocal for chelation refers to the

growing use of transdermal DMPS for chelation of autistic children.

While she expects that many DAN doctors have had results with DMSA

and are likely to continue to use it, others, including herself, are

seeing good results with TD-DMPS, and parents are reporting good

benefits with their children. A big advantage of the TD-DMPS as a

chelator is that it bypasses the gut and appears less likely to

increase " gut bugs. " The DAN doctors are going to meet with TD-DMPS

developer Dr. Buttar prior to the DAN meeting in LA this fall. I

expect news related to TD-DMPS and the DAN Protocol for chelation

may emerge at the DAN conference. Diane
