Hi Nichole,

The pre-op diet that I had was liquid only two days before surgery. Other's

have had to go on low fat, no sugar or low sugar... etc.. type of diet. Everyone

varies. My doctor's just told me that they wanted me to lose as much weight as

possible before surgery. I am sure other's will respond with their situations.

Best Wishes!

What I had to do was eat a high protein, low carbohydrate and low fat diet

so that when I had surgery the liver would not be too fatty so that they

could do especially the lap band and the RNY laprascopically.

Most surgeon's have a pre-op diet they want you to follow a week or so

prior to surgery. It varies from surgeon to surgeon. From light meals

to only liquids.
