I'm Janice (used to be aka agent1188). I would like to know of any neurologists who are familar with Chiari in the Philadelphia, PA area? I did have the decompression surgery in 1998 and have been doing *wonderful* until about a year ago when my balance started to become a problem again, resulting in a few falls. I don't need to go back to the neurosurgeon yet. My pain is about at a level of 4-7 out of ten (at the time of the surgery, it was a definite 10), balance and concentration is harder to scale. I know that I would go back to the same neurosurgeon in a heartbeat if all the signs were a " 10 " scale but right now, I just need a neurologist who can keep track of me and the one that is taking care of me now is stumbling.
