Guest guest
I had the 2nd visit a couple of weeks ago and it went well. I told him about all the other symptoms that I thought could be Chiari related and he agreed that they probably were.......it's good to have someone acknowledge symptoms even if they are only irritating and not causing major problems. We also agreed that now is not the time for surgery but if things get worse ie headaches/pain increase we would re-assess the situation. He told me he had taken my MRI to a conference and non of the surgeons were keen to operate because the crowding didn't seem to bad and there was room for CSF flow. When I mentioned the possibility of Gastroparesis being the cause of my erratic blood-glucose levels and the pseudo-hypoglycaemic episodes at night he thought it could well be the cause and I now have an appointment with a Gastroenterologist next Monday I'm still fighting a cold (5 weeks and counting) which has caused a few nasty headaches with all the coughing and this morning when I tried to lift my left leg to put on my underwear....I couldn't lift it.... and since then I've had the most horrid backache (lumbar region). I've tried ice and Ibuprofen so far...neither has had any impact, if it's no better in the morning I will try and see my GP. To end a yucky day I had a phone call to say an aunt had died :-( Shirley Dx'd 06/17/02 aged 49 probably symptomatic since birth see my cat pictures at http://communities.msn.co.uk/Friendsfamilyandfelines2
