Is obesity due to bacteria?

It seems that more and more chronic problems of unknown cause are

being linked to infections or at least being initiated by a bout of

infection (for example idiopathic gastroresis.

Recent scientific studies have found that intestinal bacteria play a

role in causing obesity. And the trait of overweight and lean may be

even be tranferable atleast in animal models.

Perhaps one of these days in not too distant future, the weight

problem shall be sured by some form of selective antibiotic.
