Okay, gang, I need your help! My visit with the 2nd nsg today was

not as bad as the first one, but they essentially said the same

thing: my symptoms cannot be entirely attributed to Chiari and both

drs seemed skeptical that they were caused even in part by the Chiari.

I'm the one that fell back in Dec. 2001 and hit my face/head on the

concrete driveway. My MRI reports from the brain and c-spine

show " mild degree... slight protrusion... " and so far no one has

ventured a measurement at all of the Chiari.

I have chronic daily headaches, numbness/tingling in my left leg

(like a vibration on the inside), numbness in my hands/fingers at

times, difficulty swallowing, and the list goes on. Scoliosis, too.

My thyroid was removed last October due to thyroid cancer, so I can

understand that some of the muscles may still be out of whack

following the surgery and might make swallowing difficult. (Could

the thyroid surgery have started up something w/the Chiari? Don't

know what made me fall.)

I'm seeing a good TMJ dentist who thinks some of this could be a

viral problem. Anyone had a " Contact Reflex Analysis " done? Kind of

an offbeat, definitely not mainstream, alternative medicine-

type " reading " of the energy fields your body emits. He thinks I

should go see a dr. in Dallas who can diagnose these viruses and

treats many of them with medical grade Omega 3 fish oil. Hmmm...

could be something to this, don't know.

But, I'm open to ideas! Should I keep looking? I don't want to

invest the time and money in seeing one of the experts IF it's going

to be a waste of their time and effort.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks to all of you-

Toni in Texas
