-I`m just learning about the mercury issues...but I do know about

stress management.

Try to find even ten minutes a day to meditate...put on some

headphones and stop

the world...in a week or two you will see some results...

For short term help, try Relora or Rhodolia but both these, while

being " natural "

are still a crutch..use them sparingly and work on the meditation so

you can wean

yourself off them...good luck

Ps...for sleep, the best bet is Melatonin...also over the counter..and

it is not addictive

like the allopathic garbage..

Has he been tested for celiac disease, leaky gut?

Have you tried GF/CF, SCD, or Feingold

diets? Sound like he may have a yeast issue also.

Melatonin and magnesium can both aid in sleep.

is starting to stem alot again and he is

starting to do that screeming thing when something he is working on

doesn't go just right. He is beginning to bite, hit, and throw

things. His temper tantrums are coming back as well.

Also, refuses to eat vegitables and the only meat I can get him

to eat is popcorn chicken, or the strips, I need help getting him on

a good solid diet. He loves his starches (except potatoe's)I try to

make him a well ballanced meal and all but the bread goes to waist.

I am not sleeping well these days, and have been very tired all day

long where can I get some energy to keep up with my house hold

duties, motherly duties, and wife duties?

You have a lot going on. I know I also have a son with autism.

Please check out the specific carbohydate diet for your son. Eating

starches for some kids on the spectrum causes problems. We have found food

really effects our son's behavior. Check out the following web sites.

www.pecanbread.com, www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info to start out. Read the

book Breaking the Vicious cycle by Elaine Gottschall. There are alot of

great recipes and ways to get good food into your child.

Theresa

PS You need someone to come over to your house to help. The stress of

autism is too much for one person.

Is there any restritions on pasta for ? Call me crazy but I tried Gerber

Graduates with Ellen when they

first came out, and it has meat and vegetables in them, and they are kind of fun

too.

I have been at the sheer exhaustion levels also ( I have an 8 year old on the

weekends, my 5 year old daughter

and a one year old son) and have searched for the food and vitamin to give me

the energy to not only keep

up all day, but have the hours with my husband at night (mind you, 5 year old

has truoble sleeping and typical night is between 9: and 11:00), and still start

all over again at 6:30 a.m. THE ONLY SAVING GRACE IS POSSITIVITY!!!

I know it's hard- I've had bad days and the best days ever. I've lost 2 jobs due

to attendance issues with daugter

and have been coasting along most of 5 years. The wisest thing ever said to me

was " FEED THE POSSITIVE " .

Hope this inspirational at least, if not helpful.

Your son sounds like he NEEDS to be gfcf. My son wouldn't eat

anything but starches and cheese when he was 4 and I thought for

sure he would starve to death when Dr. El Dahr in New Orleans told

us to put him on the gfcf diet about 3 1/2 years ago. But my son

did not starve. Instead he lost 90% of his autistic behavior and

you would be hard pressed to tell he has autism today. He is now a

terrific eater, eating a well balanced and healthy diet. He is a

different child. As much as I hated the thought of going gfcf, I

now praise God for this diet.

We have tried the glutin/casinfree diet but didn't have any luck in that

either......s Dr. ran a lead test on him for lead posioning but it came

back

negative....She won't do the Hair analisis test and she says that she doesn't

know of anyone who will. Kinda caught between a rock and a hard palce. He

doesn't have loose BM's and most of the time he is constapated....we use flax

seed for that. Took him to see an alergist last spring and they said he was

alergic to mold. uses melitonin and a perscribed drug to sleep at

night......Thank you for your responses.

Please read here for info on testing:

http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/HOW_TO_hair_test.html

The test costs $89 (which is $10 more than the file says).

I think someone else suggested melatonin for sleep-- I would

also suggest that. There is also a time-release melatonin.

Acupuncture and Chinese herbs might help a bit with energy.

good wishes,

Moria
