Toby - Nervous/Excited/Scared

Hi Toby,

Glad to have you with us. I live in Pittsburgh, Pa. I can so understand all

that you are saying here. Food was my best friend too, when no one else was

there at 12-1 at night, my food was. When could not call someone to talk to

about something, food was. It was the one thing that I had full control over

that no one could take from me and the funny thing is, I didn't have control

after all. I am excited for you and all that is about to change for you and your

family in a positive way. There are going to be bumpy roads and you will be

faced with old ghosts... but you can do it. It's exciting and we fear the

unknown and change. You can do it with a great support system your family. There

is nothing like playing in the park with me kids.

have my surgery the end of January or beginning of February. I am 6'

tall and weigh 430lbs. I am so anxious and so nervous all at the ame

time. This holiday i was so aware of what I was eating and how much

I was eating, YET I KEPT EATING!!! I feel like my best freind is

going to be taken away, the thing I can always count on. But I know

that very thing is what is turning me into a miserable 35 yr old

ring bologna & cheese, meat, potato & vegetable, Clean your plate,

Eat, Eat, Eat!!! I am afraid that it is going to be such a battle

once I have the surgery. I think my family is more afraid of what it

will mean for them instead of what it will mean for me. Anyway... I

am just don't know what to think, like I said, I am excited to be

able to function better, to move better, to do personal hygene

better, to go places and not feel like I am the fattest one there

and most of all to love my family again!
