NO. Thytropin is a thyroid releasing hormone. Cytomel or tiiodothyronine is a

thyroid hormone.

SO the THYTROPIN works by helping your own body release its own thyroid

better once the body has made it?

With all my mercruy problems, my guess is that my receptor sites are

blocked. Is there anything that helps to unblock them???

The only thing I have ever heard that helps with thyroid resistance is high

supplementation with particularly T3, but all thyroid hormones you would need

more of. How much Armour are you on?

I had worked up to 4 grains. Now I am back on 3 1/2 because I was running

out and was tyring to streach it out a bit.

My temps never eally got above 98.0.

I was concerned that my po=ulse would go over 72, but I am sure that is more

because of food allergies and such. HOWEVER, Ijust read yesterday, that a

HEALTHY heart rate is supposed to be avbout 85.

I ordered that Thyroid-S stuff this time because it costs so much less.

Well I wouldn;t worry about adding in something else till you at least worked up

to 5 grains. Then if that isn;t working to relieve symptoms you can start

thinking you are resistant. At 5 grains I would suggest some testing be done.

That will tell you what levels need to be adjusted. Just the Free T3 and Free T4

so you know which one to tweak as either can be a little low and cause symptoms.

You need to plan ahead with this medicine! I try to see to it that I never get

below a hundred pills... that way I always have SOMETHING to take as it would be

death for me to stop all medication.

SO if and when I get up to 5 grains and have a test done, if the T3 is low,

then I would add soem CYTOMEl, right? But what if the T4 is low. Then what?

If your T4 is still low at 5 grains, you would add in levoxyl or (God I hate to

say this) Synthroid. If you add more Armour or Naturethroid, you would likely

get your T3 too high and have symptoms of hyper. You do want your T3 at the very

top of the range, maybe a little over, but not a whole bunch over. and the T4

should be in the mid to upper of it;s range as well. T4 should not be over the

top.

Thyrotropin? Isn't that the TSH? TRH is Thyrotropin Releasing Hormone,

made by the hypothalamus and sent to the pituitary to cause the release to

TSH.
