Hi everyone,

I am sorry to have to do this but i have to disagree with the coments

Chrissy made about Mr Flint..

I have to say that this man has been my surgeon for over 3 years as i

also have PTC and this has led me to 1 shunt and 4 revisions in 2

years this has been through no fault of his its just being my body

not accepting the shunt,

When every i have had a problem he has always made sure that i have

been in hospital as soon as they have a bed available and has sorted

out my problems.

When i had my MRI done it was my neurologist who ordered it but only

after this had been requested by my GP for 18 months and he had just

fobbed me off. He didnt ever bother to tell me when they found the

3cm chiari on my MRI and no this neurologust does not work with Mr

Flint he works ar me local hosptual.

So when it came to my results it was Mr Flint who got copies of my

MRI and showed me my films and explained what was going on. He is

the specialist who deals with the ACM and syringomyalia (sp) at the

Queen Hospital in Birmingham. He did my decompression

surgery in November of last year. Yes just six weeks ago and if i

have had any problems he is more than happy to see me or to deal with

my questions over the phone.

Chrissy I am sorry that i dont agree with you and I guess everybody

experience is different. But for the sake of anyone in the UK that

is new to this or has been dealing with this for a while and is

considering surgery, I just wanted to say please dont write Mr Flint

off on one persons expereince as far as im concerned he is a very

good surgeon and I would receommend him to anyone.

Sorry about this and i dont mean anything personal to Chrissy as i

know everyone is entitled to their opinion.

best wishes

Helen (UK)
