hi sarrah, I have been drinking fruit2o since before my surgery to

get off of soda. I love it, although the tropical is wayyyyyyyy to

sweet for me. I buy it at sams club in a case of 28 bottles which is

around $8.i usually drink 3-4 of these each day and then i add some

regular water and a v8 drink. I have not seen the other fruit2O yet

but will look for it now!!

You are on the right track, but have you thought about making it

yourself. Lets be real what's in it? Water and fruit flavor. Fruit

flavor is available in the baking isle. They have tons of real and

artificial flavors. Banana, vanilla, strawberry..... Get Pero (made

from barley) in the coffee section and you can make a coffee flavored

one without the caffeine or harsh items found in real coffee. It

doesn't even need sweetening. Add a mineral vitamin chewable or

liquid and you have it. Add benefiber and you even up your fiber

intake. Add protein and you make your own designer drink. It's all

there, you've just have to play with it. BTW

http://www.allthewhey.com/index.htm has unflavored/unsweetened soy,

whey and milk protein powders. Suit your taste and save money.

Try to use only very little spenda, so your tongue gets used to less

sweet items. I'm at a point where I do without sweetening. Puree

frozen fruits and you have something delicious with a simple sugar

that will not effect your blood sugar like the refined ones. Stay

away from berries with seeds after your surgery. Wait 7 weeks so

your body has time to heal first.

Happy mixing....

I've stopped at lot of the sweetened stuff, because the tongue gets

used to have a sweet flavor. So I look for things without sweetening

in it. I don't even like crystal lite. Ok some are ok, but its not

for me. I did find a product called Klass Aquas Frescas at Walmart

in the Mexican isle. These a flavored beverage powders with out any

sweetening at all. They tell you to add 9 tablespoons of sugar, ja

right... I've also started a lot of herbal teas (not black teas),

like rosehip. I make them as iced teas. There are plenty of good

flavors out there. Two companies I like are

http://traditionalmedicinals.com and http://stashtea.com

Dr. Oetker, a German company, makes unsweetened pudding

powders. They can be found in German delicatessen stores or just

search www.froogle.com for online retailers. They are really good.

Hello all,

I think I'm going to change the beverage I've been drinking since May

of this year.

Fruit 2o (like H2o) is fruit flavored water with NOTHING in it except

5 mg of sodium. No calories, sugar (it's sweetened with Splenda),

carbs, fat (not that there'd be fat in water), nothing!

I looked it up online and I've had it before. They even have a

different one called Fruit 2o plus 10 (vitamins and minerals).

Since my sis in law can use Splenda, was/is (maybe) diabetic, and I

have the same surgeon and nutritionist, etc. I thought it would be a

healthier alternative than Vitamin Water, which has a lot more sugar

that I thought!

I was told to cut back on my sugar before surgery so I don't " shock "

my system by just all of a sudden, cutting it out.

Does anyone else drink Fruit 2o?

I have had the grape and I have to agree with you there, but the other

flavors are pretty good.

When you buy cases of it are those multiple flavors or just one

flavor? I can't stand the lemon and I don't think the orange either.

Sams club has 2 different cases, they both have grape in them, i cant

remember which flavors are together but the flavors are cherry,

strawberry, rasperry, tropical, peach, lemon and grape. i usually buy

a case of each so i end up with so many grape. I think the grape

tastes like grape bubble yum. lol.

At walmart they just have six packs and ive only seen grape and peach.

Hope this helps everyone out there. I'm starting to get tired of just

the flavored waters, and the crystal light is to sweet for me.. any

other suggestions?

Hi all,

Well, last night I asked my husband to get me some Fruit 2O...at a

large grocery store chain here called Waldbaum's.

They are open 24 hours and the BJ's we have in that same town was

closed.

He was able to get a six pack of Strawberry 16 oz bottles, and Grape

too. He said there wasn't a variety pack, but I'm sure BJ's has it.

I wonder if the lemon tastes like the way lemon dishwashing liquid

smells?

Crystal Light is also too sweet for me. I've gotten used to drinking

Vitamin Water, and unfortunately, it has quite a bit of sugar in it.

But since it has a much lighter taste than Crystal Light does, now

Crystal Light tastes too sugary!

I'd like to havae any other suggestions on what to drink after sugery

too! I'm trying to cut down on my sugar intake now, before surgery.

It was suggested to me by my therapist, so I don't " shock " my system

with sugar " withdrawl. " I think it's a good idea on starting to

watch what I eat now. Duh! If I had done that sooner, maybe I would

be where I am today. Oh, well...you can't undo what you've already

done, you can only change what you're doing now.

Yeah....any other beverage ideas out there?????

Cathy

After surg. I found the taste of Crystal Light way to sweet for me too.

I use to cut the sweetness with water. Try that.
